Set up Paragon Books

Paragon Books includes ebooks, audiobooks, comics and manga, all through Library Manager. In your client area, open Services, then your Books (or Ultimate) service.

Under Library login you'll find your Library Manager email and password. This is your Main login. It is not your shop login and not your movies and series login. If you already had a Library Manager account from another plan, the same password works.

The service page also has:

• Apps & links: app downloads, the web library, and copy buttons for both connection addresses
• Listening profiles: extra audiobook listeners and their logins
• Ebook delivery: your saved Kindle and Kobo destinations

Absorb is our recommended app for reading and listening on iPhone, iPad and Android.

1. Install Absorb: App Store or Google Play.
2. Choose to add a server and enter the Absorb address from your service page.
3. Sign in with your Main Library Manager email and password to see every library you have: ebooks, audiobooks, comics and manga.

Absorb streams audiobooks or downloads them for offline listening, with chapters, bookmarks, playback speed and a sleep timer.

Open Library Manager from your service page to read and listen in any browser, with nothing to install. It is the best option on Mac, Windows, Linux and Chromebook, and the right place for right-to-left manga.

Absorb's iPad app can appear on Apple Silicon Macs, but it isn't verified for macOS. Use the browser for a reliable Mac setup.

Any OPDS-compatible reader can browse and download ebooks, comics and manga from your library. This works on phones, tablets, e-readers that support OPDS and computers.

1. In your reader, add a catalog (sometimes called a network library or OPDS feed).
2. Enter the OPDS address from your service page and turn authentication on.
3. Use your Library Manager email as the username and your Library Manager password. There is no separate OPDS password.

• Reading progress stays in your reader app.
• Listener profile logins don't work here; use Main.
• If you change your Library Manager password, update it in the reader too.

Compatible ebooks can be sent straight to a Kindle or Kobo.

1. On your service page, under Ebook delivery, save your device's delivery address. You can save up to five and pick a default.
2. Kindle: add the sender address shown on your service page to the approved senders list in your Amazon account (Manage your content and devices, Preferences, Personal document settings).
3. In Library Manager, open a compatible ebook, choose the delivery option and pick the destination.
4. Give the device a few minutes and let it sync over Wi-Fi.

If nothing arrives, check the destination and the device's sync before sending the same book again. Delivery is for compatible ebooks; comics, manga and audiobooks aren't sent this way.

• Absorb opens EPUB, PDF, MOBI, AZW3 and CBZ. CBR files download only and need another reader.
• Let a whole ebook or comic finish downloading before you open it, and leave enough free storage.
• Absorb reads comics left to right. For right-to-left manga, use the web reader.
• Ebook and audiobook editions are separate items, so switching between reading and listening at the same spot isn't automatic.
• On iPhone and iPad, AudioBooth and Still are alternatives for audiobooks, and on Android the official Audiobookshelf app. They use the same /abs address. Their reading support may differ from Absorb.

Your library account has Main plus up to four more listeners. Each listener gets their own progress, bookmarks and playlists, and sees the same audiobook catalog (there is no child filter).

• Find their logins under Listening profiles on your service page; select Login details beside a listener to show or copy them.
• Extra profiles are for audiobooks only. Use Main for ebooks, comics, manga and OPDS.
• The limit of four extra listeners is shared across all your plans.

• Check you're using the right address: /abs for Absorb and audiobook apps, /opds for OPDS readers.
• Check the Library Manager login, and update saved passwords in your apps after a change.

For a problem with a book, audiobook, comic or manga, open a ticket with the app, device, title and the exact error. A person on the team replies, usually within 12 hours. Never send your password.
