Which app your plan uses

Movies and series play in free apps. Which one depends on the plan you ordered:

PlanSign in with
Streaming Lite on EmbyMoonfin or another Emby app
Streaming Lite on JellyfinMoonfin or any Jellyfin app
Streaming Premium on EmbyMoonfin or another Emby app
Streaming Premium on P ShareThe steps on your service page

Your server address, username and password are in your welcome email and on your service page in the client area. Bundles show the movies and series login separately from the TV login.

The addresses look like these. Always copy yours from the service page:

Streaming Lite, Emby

Streaming Lite, Jellyfin

Streaming Premium, Emby

Moonfin, our recommended app

Moonfin is a free player that works with our Emby and Jellyfin servers. It is our first recommendation on most devices, and it looks and works the same everywhere.

  • From the app store: iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android phones and tablets, Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV
  • On computers: Windows, macOS and Linux
  • LG and Samsung TVs: installed by sideloading, using the Smart TV guide on the Moonfin site
  • Roku: from the Roku Channel Store, for Jellyfin. Use a different device for Emby.

Get it from moonfin.io. Then:

  1. Open Moonfin and choose to add a server. Pick Emby or Jellyfin to match your plan.
  2. Enter the server address from your service page, including https://.
  3. Sign in with your username and password.

Signing in to Emby

Emby apps need two things done the right way:

  • Add the server manually. Choose the option to enter a server address, then sign in with the username and password from your service page. Don't use Emby Connect, and skip any local-server search.
  • Don't install the Emby app from the Play Store or App Store. Those builds ask for a separate Emby Premiere purchase and stop playback. Emby Premiere isn't part of your subscription and you don't need to buy it.

Use Moonfin, or on Apple devices Infuse, VidHub or SenPlayer. On Android TV and Fire TV, VidHub also works.

Jellyfin apps

Streaming Lite on Jellyfin works with Moonfin and with the official Jellyfin apps from your app store. Nothing extra to buy.

  1. Install Moonfin or the Jellyfin app for your device.
  2. Choose to add a server and enter the Jellyfin address from your service page.
  3. Sign in with your username and password.

Jellyfin also works in Infuse, VidHub and SenPlayer on Apple devices.

iPhone, iPad and Apple TV

On iPhone, iPad and Apple TV you have four good options. All of them work with Emby and Jellyfin:

  • Moonfin: free, and our first recommendation
  • Infuse: a polished player with wide format support; some features need its own subscription
  • VidHub and SenPlayer: capable alternatives if you prefer their layout

In each app, add an Emby or Jellyfin server by address, not by searching your network, and sign in with your details.

P Share and Silo

P Share

P Share is another way to watch the Premium library, in a popular media app you may already use. Your service page has the setup steps and the invite. P Share is sold on 6-month and 12-month plans and has no free trial.

Silo (beta)

Silo is our own app, in beta, included with paid Streaming Premium plans. Create your Silo account from your Premium service page and follow the steps there. Silo shares your plan's stream limit; it doesn't add streams. You don't need it: every Premium plan also works in Emby or P Share.

Your first stream

  • Start with quality set to Auto, and play an ordinary HD title before trying 4K.
  • Leave direct play on when the app offers it; it uses the original file when your device can handle it.
  • Turn subtitles on only when you need them. Some subtitle formats make the server convert the video, which can cause buffering on slower connections.
  • Check that progress syncs between two devices before setting up the rest of the house.
  • Offline downloads work in supported apps on paid Streaming Lite plans, for your own viewing.

Requests and reporting a title

Request a new title

Requests are unlimited on paid Streaming Lite and Premium plans. Open Library Manager from your service page, sign in with the Library Manager details shown there, search for a movie, series or anime and select Request. Free trials can't make requests.

Each request is searched straight away and added automatically if a release is available. If not, it stays on watch and is added if a release appears later. On Lite, titles that are already on Premium usually arrive within seconds, and series requests include every available season plus new episodes as they come out.

Something wrong with a title already there

If one movie or episode won't play, has broken subtitles or audio, the wrong version, or a season that should be there is missing, report it from your service page rather than requesting it again. If many unrelated titles fail at once, follow the troubleshooting guide instead.

When sign-in fails

  • Type the username and password instead of using autofill, and check for spaces at the start or end.
  • Check you're in the right kind of app: Emby details in an Emby app, Jellyfin details in a Jellyfin app.
  • Check the server address, including https://, and that the service is active in your client area.
  • Try the same details on one other device. If they work there, the problem is the first device or app.
  • Stop after a few failed attempts. Repeated wrong passwords may lock the account for a while.

Still stuck? Open a ticket with the app name, device model and the exact error. A person on the team replies, usually within 12 hours. Never send your password.
